Nina’s Sports Assembly Speech

Good morning everyone and welcome back to the final stretch of what has been a beyond successful year.

Persephone, I couldn’t have said it better myself. We really did thrive this year, the Swimming and Athletics carnivals being few of the many examples. Amidst such inter-house competition, for Aristotle, daily homeroom has become 15 minutes in which we have all looked forward to, not only because of UNO and other card games, but also because it has been time spent chatting, planning, supporting and encouraging our fellow house members. Being House Captain of Aristotle has truly been rewarding. The position has given Persephone and I knowledge and insight as to what it takes to support and encourage others. It has honestly been such a memorable experience being part of the community in this way and we encourage you all to attempt to fulfil such leadership positions with pride, as the memories and bonds that are created will all undoubtedly be cherished forever, we can guarantee that.

Persephone and I are extremely proud and grateful to have led our house through such a victorious year. We can’t thank you all enough for not only your openness toward getting involved, but also for sharing your talents with our house and ultimately helping us be remarkable. A massive thank you also goes out to all staff for all of the behind the scenes work that often goes unnoticed, we are truly grateful. To single out a few, Ms Terazakis & Ms Rahme, we genuinely can’t thank you enough for all that you have done. No doubt 2018 will be as promising as this year if our house spirit and dedication continues, which I’m sure it will. Thank you all once again for making 2017 amazing and memorable to say the least.
